Its important to note that it did not work until i had removed any previously installed gameport drivers, for example in my case PPjoy which is handy for remapping and using input devices for things they were not intented for, but when i pluggd my sidewinder in it installed a PPjoy driver which does nothing for the sidewinder;) also, update your direct x before you go looking for some microsoft driver, direct x does more than graphics, it hold essential microsoft drivers for game ports;).
