Be clear and straightforward about the projects being personal projects - no need to try and pass them as professional work, as this can only cause confusion and could backfire. - No need for the skill rating thing. In this industry you either know how to do something or you don't.

- In general, no need to try and 'fool HR', HR people are pros at what they do and are not dumb. - Probably remove the bit about the dorm job. I assume you put it as way to indicate that you took jobs early, but at the end of the day it doesn't really bring anything to your CG job application. - I personally don't understand the 'candidate' thing in the education part.

What does that mean? On the plus side, I quite dig how you inserted previews of some of your pieces at the bottom of the page. This is not an usual thing to do on a resume and would probably be frowned upon in other industries, but in this case I think it works quite well (and would work even better in full color rather than dimmed in dark blue).

Of course this is a highly subjective thing - some recruiters might not like it, not sure. I know it personally peaked my interest, and would make me curious about your work if I were currently in a position to review resumes. That said, people looking for applicants will always look at your portfolio first anyways, so that might be considered redundant. And of course: good luck on your job search! No need for the skill rating thing.

In this industry you either know how to do something or you don't. Hm dunno,i think i can get rid of it for my basic work softwares ( Maya,Photoshop,Zbrush,Substance) but what if i know how to do basic scripting operations and a bit of say,Houdini? How would you put that? I've always find skill rating to be a good metric to see how good someone is good at something and what 'special skills' an artist has (like scripting) that can make him stand out from the crowd.
