I'm just moving over from studio to Vegas Pro 8 I am familiar with chroma keying and picture in picture with Studio but struggling with Vegas. My objectives is to replicate something I achieved in studio. Overlay a chroma-keyed video against part of a static background, but the chroma-keyed image is simply a zoom in. Imagine a cuddly toy suddenly appearing from a corner of a static background frame, that then appears to get closer to the screen (without taking over it all) I have tried the interactive tutorial but it keeps suggesting I scroll right on the timeline to something out of view and then increase the zoom on the timeline. I end up scrolling to the end of my piece and zoom to max.
I realise I have to look at this as five actions. Crop (or zoom in) chroma video to lose unecessary surround (crop/pan event) although I would like to change this regardless of aspect ratio. Cr500 crm middleware pdf download software.
Put it picture in picture (make it first video track - done) 3. Reduce the percentage of screen size it takes over (??) 4. Place it in the appropriate position on screen (ok with placement on text but how with video) 5. Chroma-key it. (found this plug-in. At the mo background disappears but subject goes transparent.) In studio this was picture in picture with crop (lose edge) and scale (size and location on screen) pan & zoom (ah ha. Maybe it was a static picture) and chroma key (eliminate background).
Would this be easier as a static picture that I panned and zoomed? Anyway all help appreciated.
