There IS an uncensor patch available for Dies irae ~Amantes amentes~! This patch allows you to play “Dies irae ~Acta est fabula~”, which contains H-scenes. You will now be able to play the English version of “Dies irae ~Acta est fabula~”.
Wait, so the people who have been waiting on the 18+ version won't get the full experience? As from what I have heard, ~Acta est Fabula~ is inferior to Amantes in every way except the porn aspect. You made it seem like the 18+ version you were releasing would also have the content from Amantes, so fans who wanted the 18+ scenes could wait and still read the 'complete' game. Arabic text script after effects.
Now you're saying people who want the 18+ scenes will not get the fulle experience, and it will simply be ~Acta est Fabula~ in English, without any changes? Or am I misunderstanding what you're saying? So yeah, I've looked at the Campaign details and here you go: >The goal of this Kickstarter is to deliver to you an English-localized Steam release of 'Dies irae ~Amantes amentes~' the fullest version of the game to date with various additional scenarios. Join us, brothers in arms! Help us bring about the advent of Dies irae in the English speaking world and the birth of a new era for us all!
>Scenes of explicit violence that were altered in the original Japanese version of ~Amantes amentes~ will be fully uncensored. Such CGs will appear as the creators originally intended them. >Furthermore, a free, separate patch restoring the full 18+ version content will be available for backers at no additional cost. Details concerning the patch are forthcoming. @Fedor - I think ultimately the language used in the original campaign was not fully descriptive enough as to mean 'all content will be in one version of the game' - as they say in the update, they've always treated the two versions as separate products to 'reduce' (not in actuality) market confusion. While saying 18+ 'patch' does imply it's adding on 18+ content to the Steam version, they have made clear in this update that was never the original intention - hence the 'details concerning patch are forthcoming'. I've not played the Steam version so I don't know if they uncensored the violent CGs, but they never lied in the campaign text, just been incredibly unclear (which tbh, is very close to the same thing).
Good to see they're finally going the extra mile to clarify and set things right now, but it's a real shame they had to dig themselves such a deep hole to get where we are now. Superbacker @Klais, anyone can update VNDB, you just need to register an account, so the person who updated the entry you're talking about is probably a proactive backer. This is confusing. So you're saying, 'Whoops, when we said we'd release a patch, we actually meant we'd release an entirely separate game'? I mean, that sounds like significantly more work on your part and should have been advertised during the campaign. For my part, and probably a lot of others, the game has been sitting in my Steam Library for 6 months unplayed because I was expecting a patch and didn't want to ruin the game for myself. That kind of sucks.
Most important to me though: Is the physical version going to include 'Acta est Fabula'? It's going to be really upsetting if it doesn't, I didn't want an incomplete physical edition. This is a much-needed level of detail for an update, thank you very much for this. However, there are still some points that - at least in English - are still confusing?
